Approvals

The right person decides, in one step

Trips and expenses inside policy can go straight through. Anything else reaches the right approver with the reason, the traveller's note and the full price.

The problem

Approval by email is slow for travellers and blind for approvers

A request in an inbox shows a total, not the rule that was broken or why. While it waits, fares change and the trip gets more expensive.

  • Approvers decide without the policy in front of them
  • Requests sit in inboxes while prices move
  • Nobody can say later who approved what, or why

What Nevo does

Fewer approvals, faster decisions

Only what needs a decision

Choose when approval is needed: never, only when out of travel policy, over an amount, or always. By default, in-policy trips go straight through.

Routes that match your organisation

Send requests to the traveller's manager, to up to five named people, or to any approver, with a fallback person.

Decide from email or the app

Approvers get an email with a one-time link and can approve or decline from their phone without signing in, or from the app.

Context, not just a total

Which rule was exceeded, by how much, the trip reason and the traveller's note. No back-and-forth to find out.

Nothing booked without a yes

An out-of-policy trip is booked only after approval, at a price rechecked at that moment. A decline needs a note for the traveller.

A record of every decision

Who approved what, when and why is kept with the trip, ready for finance and audit in spend reporting.

How it works

How a request moves

  1. 1

A traveller chooses an option that is outside policy, picks a trip reason and adds a note.

  2. 2

Nevo sends it to the approvers on your route and shows the traveller who has it.

  3. 3

The approver approves or declines in one step, from the email or the app.

  4. 4

An approved trip is booked at a rechecked price; the traveller is told either way, and the decision stays on the trip.

Nobody approves their own trip

The traveller and the person who booked are never asked to approve it, including when an assistant books for their manager. The first decision counts.

Who gets what

What each person gets

Administrators

Set when approval is needed and who decides, separately for trips and for expenses.

Travellers

Add a reason and a note, see who has the request, and get the decision by email.

Finance

Every exception comes with its approval: who decided, when, and the note they left.
